Seven Rays of Light

Red, orange, yellow
green, blue, indigo, violet
seven rays of light,
arching in the sky.
God's promise is remembered,
that never will again the waters
become a flood to destroy all life.

There seems to be endless showers of rain,
so I bow down on my knees to pray.
And when I look up above the sky,
seven rays of light
red, orange, yellow
green, blue, indigo, violet
are arching in the sky.

Never again the rains I have
will turn into flood and destroy my life.
For red, orange, yellow
green, blue, indigo, violet
arching in the sky
are the seven rays of light,
the sign of hope and love promised by God.
