overdosed

my clock’s tickin' one, my fan’s two
summer heat in an old room, my pens are three
wanna write somethin’ ‘bout me, end up thinkin’ of you
supposed to meet you at four, but my work’s til five
dine out with a group of six, have to be home at seven
answer your call at eight, it's cloud nine
cats are on the roof at ten, I guess they’re eleven
kiss you goodnight at twelve, now my clock’s tickin' one
fan’s still two, summer heat in my old room
still awake at three, wanna write somethin’ 'bout me
close my eyes at four, but geez it’s already five
like to take pills of six, maybe seven, eight or nine
have to find myself sleepin' til ten, eleven, twelve
‘cause when I wake up, back to thinkin' of you... one
